Throughout this time Newport has successfully completed hundreds of transactions - by far exceeding any other Australian corporate advisory firm in the TMT space. 

 

Newport's management team has experience on both Advisory & Corporate sides of the desk. Newport also works with a number of international partner groups to ensure a global reach with local knowledge in the TMT space. 

 

Being a pioneer in the Australian TMT sector, we have seen the M&A market evolve from the golden era of technological advancements through the first start-up bubble to new age business models including cloud, SAAS, new media and the Internet of Things.

Lou is the founder of Newport Capital Group. After starting his career with IBM where Lou managed the entire Sydney Data Centre, he spent 12 years with Computer Resources and was appointed Group CEO in 1976, managing over 300 staff. In 1979, Lou founded the Australian Technology and Computing Group which was sold to Field Engineering & Education Ltd. (UK) in 1985, and Lou moved to London as Chairman of the Group. He returned to Australia in 1987 and joined ICL as APAC Director of Marketing and Head of M&A.

 

Lou remains deeply involved in client projects and his vision drives Newport’s development, with the goal of Newport becoming the leader in technology investment and advisory services in the Asia Pacific.

Neetish joined Newport Capital Group in 2015 as an intern. He then joined the firm as an analyst and is currently an Associate. Neetish's role involves providing execution support, documentation as well as engaging with clients. Neetish holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Finance.

Rishabh is a Senior Associate with four years of experience in corporate finance at Newport Capital Group. Rishabh has developed his skills and expertise in financial modeling, analysis, and valuations. He has assisted senior management teams, board members, and stakeholders throughout all phases of transaction advisory and execution.

 

He is also currently a Master of Financial Analysis from UNSW. Rishabh has previously worked on transactions relating to IT services and SaaS-based services providers. He is keen on working with innovative and high-growth Australian tech firms.

Grace joined Newport Capital in July 2019, primarily providing research support. She is currently completing a Master of Commerce, majoring in Finance, at UNSW and is a Level 1 CFA candidate.

 

Prior to Newport, Grace worked at Stone & Chalk where she conducted market/company research on tech verticals and investment sectors, developing an understanding about the domestic technology market. She also helped facilitate Corporate Partner engagement with fintech innovation.
